The Mathematics Behind the Illusion

This puzzle is based on the famous Missing Square Puzzle, a geometric paradox that has fascinated mathematicians and puzzle lovers for generations.

The illusion works because tiny differences in the angles of the puzzle pieces create an almost imperceptible change in area. When the pieces are rearranged, those tiny differences are distributed throughout the puzzle, producing enough “extra” space to create what appears to be an entirely missing square.

Although it feels impossible, the explanation lies entirely in geometry.
